Vintage wooden bone micro mosaic inlaid marquetry chess backgammon game box. Medium lacquered rectangular lidded box with metal hinges and closure. Intricate craftsmanship of micro mosaic of wood with bone pieces in a beautiful traditional Syrian Moorish geometric design. Exterior of the box to play chess or checkers and the inside to play backgammon. Does not come with any gaming pieces but would make a wonderful decorative piece, or functional box to store trinkets, playing cards or jewellery. Handmade, no makers mark. Likely made in Syria in 1950's-70's. Very Good Vintage Condition. Mosaic is complete and intact. Does not come with any gaming pieces.
