"HANDMADE" wooden metal Trix The Drummer cat pull-along toy vintage 1950's America. Would make a beautiful addition to a vintage pull-along collection, or stunning vintage children's toy display piece.


Solid wood and steel pull-along toy. Blue and red. Depicting Trix The Cat (solid wood) on a steel rectangular base with wheels. Coloured paper affixed on both sides. On steel wheels with steel axels, attached with steel pins. Jointed arms. Trix is holding pair of drum sticks. When his arms move they strike the drum symbol.

A handmade replica of a 1930's pull along toy from "The Gong Bell Manufacturing Company" - but this one is void of any branding - they were in business from 1866 and went out of business in 1960's. They specialised in producing wooden toys. The graphics on the coloured paper is blurry and the colours are faded. The graphics on the drum "Trix Drummer 305" is backwards. The original is very rare and sought after.

Estimated manufactured in America in 1950's-70's. Very Good Vintage Condition. General wear to wood and paint. Paper on one side is peeling off. Void of any branding. The hands and arch holding the symbol are bent, but does not effect functionality too much. Sourced within Stonnington.
