Vintage "ELLIS POTTERY" blue ashtray 50 fat lava drip glaze round 1960's AUSTRALIA. Medium size. Round shaped. Ceramic studio pottery. Dark brown and turquoise. Blue flat lava drip glaze and glass crackle glaze. 6 cigarette slot. Model #50. Shallow. Extra wide lip. Glazed finish. May be re-used as a catch-all / vide-poche dish. Mid-century modern, brutalist style. Incised signature on base reads as follows: "Ellis 50". Made in Carlton, Victoria, Australia in 1960's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
