Vintage alcohol proof paper mache drink coaster set X6 fruit motif 1940's JAPAN. Round shaped. Set of 6 drink coasters. Fruit motif, each coaster with a different motif. Multi-coloured. Paper mache covered. Lipped with gold rim. Unsure if wood, metal or plastic: cool to cheek. Lacquered finish. Stamped on base: "Alcohol proof made in Japan." Mid-century modern style. Made in Occupied Japan in 1940's-50's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
