Antique coal mining miner "FLETCHER BURROWS & COMPANY LIMITED" and "ATHERTON COAL" paperweight/matchstick holder 1890's ENGLAND. Figural shaped. Medium-sized. Metal, cast iron. Depiction of a coal mining scene with a miner/collier. Painted, chippy finish. Embossed stamp on front reads as follows: "Fletcher Burrows & Co Ltd" and "Atherton Coal." "Fletcher Burrows" was a coal mining company based in Lancashire. Made in England in the 1890s-1920s. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
