"RAUL DA BERNARDA (R.B.)" cobalt blue ceramic floral shaped 9" vase 1930's. Medium, floral shaped ceramic vase with footed base. Cobalt blue colour with hand painted gold gilt accenting the flower petals and base, shiny finish overall. A hand painted gold gilt deer sits at the base of the flower. Model #1383. Mid-century modern style. Gold gilt stamp on base reads as follows: "RB Alcobaca. Made in Portugal. 1383." Made in Alcobaça Portugal in 1930's. R.B. ceramics factory was founded in 1875 and ceased production in 2008. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula. Very Good Vintage Condition, no cracks or crazing. Minor chip on base at foot. 2 very minor nibbles on inner rim of vase. All not visible when displayed.
