"H.P HOOD & SONS" clear glass quart milk bottle 9" vintage 1940's. Great display piece for vintage kitchen, and for the vintage bottle collector. Clear glass with pyro painted orange text. Front and back reads as follows: "Hood's" with official circular logo with the head of a cow. Along tapered part of bottle on 2 sides "It's Hood's. Store bottle." Embossment along the base: "Liquid. 317 Reg. Sealed UGP S. One quart." Manufactured in America in 1940's. Very rare and sought after. H.P Hood & Sons company was founded in 1846 in Charlestown, Massachusetts and is still in operation. Good Vintage Condition, no chips or cracks, few surface scratches at the top of the bottle before it tapers.
