Antique "POWELL BRISTOL" pottery stoneware oyster preserving jar 1880's ENGLAND. Medium size. Cylindrical, squat shaped. Two-tone, cream body with tan top. Stoneware pottery. Was used to store and transport pickled or packed oysters. Impressed stamp on side reads as follows: "Powell Bristol." Salt glazed finish. Made in Bristol, England in 1880's-1900's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
